DIY lace inset flare jeans

Hey.

Happy Weekend. Now that the holidays are over we pretty much have the weekends to "celebrate."

Not that we've ever needed an excuse.

I made these flares, or rather, sewed in the lace triangles. Another piece of clothing is changing (read: improving) my life.

Cause enough for a celebration, if you ask me.

Bottoms up.

Blouse: Thrifted
Jeans: Thrifted/DIY
Belt: Thrifted
Hat: Forever 21

Are these DIY flared jeans back in fashion? I was wearing something similar 18 years ago when lace insert flares were so "in". Wow, that was a trip back to memory lane! :))

I'm impressed with those jeans, I'm always impressed with DIY projects that turn out good enough to be photographed for public viewing because my best intentions often fail! *lol

those jeans are awesome! Were the pants you started out with originally flared or straight leg? Did you hand sew them? I am about to DIY this up and wanted to get it right! love it.

Your jeans are to die for, your photos are stunning!

They look great! I remember being in junior high and make my jeans bellbottoms by adding all sorts of ugly, patterned fabrics. But instead of sewing them nicely, I just pinned them all in. Yours look way better!

So in high school, my mom used to sew in triangles for us... from a fabric that was white with teddy bears on it... oh those were the days. I wish I had been cool enough to think of using lace tho, THAT is genuis.

Awesome make-over for the jeans. Bet that was difficult to sew but it was totally worth it. Love the contrasting textures.

If this were real life, I'd be opening my arms wide and saying, "This much!"
But it's not. And I'm not. But it's the thought, right?
